Black Lantern Wonder Woman is a resurrected, corrupted version of Diana Prince, the Amazonian princess and superheroine Wonder Woman, within the DC Comics universe. She emerges during the "Blackest Night" event, a crossover storyline focusing on the Black Lantern Corps, powered by the black light of death and fueled by emotional energy.
After Wonder Woman is killed (briefly) and subsequently touched by a Black Lantern ring, she is reanimated as a Black Lantern. This process strips her of her empathy and morality, turning her into a weapon of Nekron, the embodiment of death. Her purpose is to spread death and recruit new members to the Black Lantern Corps by emotionally manipulating and destroying her former allies.
As a Black Lantern, Wonder Woman retains her superhuman strength, speed, and durability. However, these abilities are now augmented by the power of the black ring, allowing her to generate constructs of black energy and drain the life force of living beings. Her transformation represents a profound threat, as she is both a physically powerful opponent and a psychologically devastating force, preying on the hopes and loves of the heroes who once trusted her.
